Get to Know Us

Welcome to Umoja Childrens Home, a charitable institution with a dedicated focus on the well-being of children. We collaborate closely with the community, churches, institutions, business entrepreneurs, and family members to address the significant challenges faced by orphans and vulnerable children whose parents succumbed to HIV/AIDS.

The inception of our Home arose from the dire conditions these children endured — limited access to food, a lack of parental affection, and engagement in cheap labor to support fragile household economies, resulting in stunted growth. In response, our community rallied to establish a haven, providing essential support such as shelter, food, education, clothing, and medication.

Recognizing the transformative power of positive treatment, we endeavor to nurture orphans in a manner that allows them to seamlessly reintegrate into society. Presently, we are privileged to care for 72 children who are actively attending various schools and colleges. The Home covers all educational expenses, aspiring to create a child-friendly environment that fosters growth, free from all forms of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Our mission is to cultivate a future where children thrive, irrespective of their challenging pasts.
